2 FO’s (Finished Objects)

Sunrise in White Plains Yesterday

FO #1

So the sun was rising yesterday (pretty, no?), and I finally bound off my Better in Cashmere Cardi in Cashmere Eco color 618. Notice that I interspersed a skein of Beaded Silk and Sequins Light in color 618 Silver. Knitting this one was pure joy…. Something about the colors and making a multi jacket for the first time ever…. I enjoyed the process very very much.

Here’s how it came out:

Color 618 in Beaded Silk and Sequins Light and Cashmere Eco, both yarns that I used in the jacket.

I recommend this jacket to anyone who wants a warm cozy knit for fall/winter. It is incredibly fun and easy to knit, and the yarn just feels softer as you knit with it. It particularly softens as you wear it. You deserve cashmere, and you’ll be able to make it for half the price it would cost to purchase a cashmere cardi like this.

FO#2

I’m going to a wedding and needed something lovely to wear, but not too warm, so that I could enjoy the dancing without getting overheated. I designed this really easy and fun Sparkle Necklace Tee (no necklace required). You can see how it looks on me:

So the way this one works is you use up 1 skein of Beaded Silk and Sequins at the very top (this is knitted top down) and then the remaining top is worked with Merino Cloud. I was able to complete the small size using 2 skeins of Merino Cloud in 2246 (charcoal). I love it and will wear it proudly. You can shorten or extend the sleeves which are knitted using alternate stockinette and garter for extra squishiness.

It feels to good to have these two completed garments. Don’t you love when you complete a knitting project? Thanks for being there for me. 🙂 More later.

Best,

Iris
