Spring 2020 Knitalong
The Spring 2020 Merino Cloud KAL is an exciting and different Top or Shawl.
This particular design has it all…. It is unique and lots of learning opportunities:
Short row leaves, which are a perfect excuse to learn German Short Rows with an accompanying video.
Option of using Lace Openwork stitch with a teaching video for you lace lovers… if that doesn’t work for you, use the much easier elongated stitch.
Option of making a shawl, wide enough to be used as a comfort blanket, or a tunic.
The shawl, shown on the left, uses 1 skein each of Merino Cloud in colors A and B and measures 21″ wide x 64″ long. Shown in colors 703 and 1027.
The top, shown on the right, is sized for 34-42″ (44-52″) and uses 1(2) skein(s) of Merino Cloud (80% Extrafine Merino 20% Cashmere, 436 yards/100g) in color A and 1 (2) skein(s) of Merino Cloud in Color B. Shown in colors 708 and 621.
If you prefer to use Ensemble Light, Rhapsody Light, Silk Dream, Beaded Silk and Sequins, or Regal Silk, all these are good substitutes for Merino Cloud but make sure you have the 400 yards minimum that are required for each color.
If you already have the Artyarns yarn you want to use for the knitalong post it by creating your project on Ravelry.
NOTE: You must use Artyarns to yarns to participate in this KAL.
The deadline to complete part 1 is June 30, 2020.
